What’s new with the revised edition –
1) I’ve been working on the aesthetic appearance of the contents of the books to be appealing to the eyes. I’ve formatted all three books from scratch to make them have a refreshing, professional and captivating look to them.
2) I’ve updated many writings to have a bit more context and nuance on them to make sure that everyone gets what I mean.
3) A major concern with poetry for people is that most poetry are open to a lot of interpretations and we miss the original meaning intended. Therefore, I have added “Shall I join you?” sections for almost all poems to make sure you get the meaning and thought I intend. People who want to have their own interpretations for the more abstract poems can choose to skip the “Shall I join you?” sections of the books. The “Shall I join you?” sections are in simple, informal, everyday language so that anyone who loves poetry and easy reading in general isn’t left out.
4) The books are not sequels to each other and are more like collections of my works during different parts of my life. Therefore, feel free to read in any order as you please.
5) Why should I get the books or e-books, when you post them all on social media?
I do not post my favourite works online, because I want some writings to be exclusive to the books and their readers, so that the readers are encouraged to get the books and are given special importance. I have posted 15-20 percent of my writings on social media, and from now on, I’ll be posting tiny muses for social media separately and reserving more serious works for books alone for my ardent readers and I’ll be writing seperately for video content.
6) For those of you that love short stories, I’d recommend getting the first book first because it has two short stories which were very well received and cherished that they encouraged me to write a novel.
7) The “winsome whispers of a lissome soul” series has a collection of over 200 poems, 30 heart talks and 2 stories capturing emotions of love and life, heartbreak and pain and hope and healing. Although each book is a mix of these spectrums of emotions, the first book has more poems on pain and heartbreak, the second book has more poems on love and life and the third book has more poems on hope and healing. Read them in the order you prefer.
8) Watch the ‘Winsome whispers of a lissome soul’ poetry EP on YouTube and Spotify which will roll out one by one eventually featuring few of my poems and it will include the poems that hold the popular vote amongst readers and it will feature me reading some of the poems and talking about them. The readers can message me their favourite poems and I will pick the most suggested ones and reimagine them into songs for you to enjoy.
The series consists of three books of poetry and heart talks. The first book has a couple of stories as well. I have released a few promos for you to see what the emotions and themes of the books are like, so that you can be well informed about the feels you’re buying and absorbing. You can choose to be surprised too!
The covers of the book series ‘Winsome whispers of a lissome soul’ go from deeper to lighter shades of colour. Because thematically, the first book had a dark undertone overall, expressing how dreams prevail through the darkness and nights. The second book had a more loving outlook comparatively, quoting the warmth in the intimacy of love, that how even a flicker of love can be enough to light up a wholly darkened shell. The third book comprises the break of dawn, the morning that comes to the moons and souls grappled by darkness, their ceaseless rebellion finally bringing them to the light of day they’ve always longed for.
